Terms
The agreement between you and PeerFlow. It is short, because there is not much to it.

What PeerFlow is
PeerFlow finds you one person to learn alongside, gives the two of you somewhere to agree a time, and puts you in a video room when that time arrives. It is free to use. It is not a course, it is not tutoring, and nobody here is your teacher — your partner is another learner, under no obligation to be right about anything.
We do not promise you a partner. Matching is done by hand, and if nobody is learning what you are learning at a time you are awake, you will wait.
Your account
One account per person, on an email address you can actually receive mail at — a match is announced by email, so a throwaway address means you miss it. Keep your password to yourself: anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You need to be 16 or older.
How to behave
The code of conduct is the rule, and it is four lines long: be the partner you would want, show up when you said you would, no harassment of any kind, and practise security on labs rather than on people. Breaking it costs you the account. Where the reason is harassment it costs you the account on the first occasion, without a warning.
If somebody makes you uncomfortable, report and block them — from their profile, or from inside the call. You do not owe them an explanation first, and blocking does not tell them they were blocked.
What happens on a call
A call is between you and your partner. We are not on it, we do not record it, and nothing about it is watched while it happens. That is precisely why report and block exist, and why they work after a call as well as during one.
Do not record your partner without asking them. In some places that is a criminal matter; here it is enough on its own to end your account.
What you write
Your profile, your messages and the notes on your sessions stay yours. What you give PeerFlow is permission to store them and show them to the people they were meant for, which is the whole of what makes the site work. That permission ends when you delete them.
Do not post something you have no right to post, and do not use PeerFlow to advertise anything to anyone.
When it doesn't work
PeerFlow is a small project and is offered as it is. It can be down. A call can fail to connect. A partner can stop replying. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, or that anything on it is accurate, and we are not liable for what a failure costs you — a missed session, a missed deadline, or anything your partner says or does.
None of that takes away a right you hold by law where you live which an agreement cannot sign away.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you want, from Settings, without asking anyone. We can close an account that breaks the code of conduct, and will.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes and every account gets an email. Carrying on using PeerFlow after that is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, delete the account.
